September 17, 2024 Lunar Eclipse
I almost skipped this one because I didn’t think it would be clear out. Also, the shadow was only going to pass across the edge of the disc of the Moon. But I went out around the peak and was surprised that the sky was clear and that the eclipse was actually something to see.
So, I grabbed my AT72EDII and the old Super Polaris mount and took a few quick snapshots with the Canon Rebel T3 DSLR (without tracking). This is a stack of six images, slightly sharpened in Photoshop to make up for the poor focus.
