Messier 92
Clouds, rain, and excessive humidity. That’s life in East Texas, especially during the spring and early summer. Soon enough it will probably be hot, dry, and dusty. But for now, I take my opportunities for astroimaging when they come.
A brief window opened one night recently, and I got an image of Messier 92, a globular cluster in the Hercules constellation. Although not as large and bright as Messier 13, which is near to it in the sky, it is still very pretty.
The focus for this image was a bit soft, so I want to reshoot the cluster at a later date. There are several faint galaxies in the area, too. More exposures will help bring them out in the final image.
