IC 405 – The Flaming Star Nebula

The Flaming Star is an emission and reflection nebula in the constellation Auriga. I had made attempts to image this one in the past but was never happy with the results due to the limitations of my equipment, especially the camera. But the Dwarf 3 is good at picking up Hydrogen alpha emissions, and so I gave it another shot.
Overall, I guess I’m happy with this one. I feel like it could be better (less noisy), but I really shouldn’t complain. It is a much more detailed and accurate image than my previous best attempt.
Part of the Tadpole Nebula is visible in the lower left-hand corner.
