Another break in the weather! My son and I went out to the Dominey Observatory in mid-June to visit and do some imaging. This night’s target was a twofer: the North America Nebula and the Pelican Nebula. Both nebulae are located in the constellation Cygnus, the Swan, near the bright star Deneb.

The target was fairly low in the east and somewhat obscured by smoke when I started imaging, but the observatory has a good view of the eastern sky so there was plenty of time to get several hours of imaging done before we had to pack up and go home.

Caldwell 20
North America Nebula and Pelican Nebula. 776 x 15s @ 60 gain on the Dwarf 3, processed in Siril. Reprocessed March 26, 2026.
